A renowned hand-made soba restaurant that evokes the past and the seasons

Yokokawa no Sato is a hand-made soba shop that offers a warm atmosphere reminiscent of visiting a relative's countryside home. Inside, you can enjoy soba made with care, with the spicy daikon soba and hearty kenchin soba being particularly popular. The seasonal wild vegetable dishes served throughout the year are also delicious, conveying the flavors of the seasons to visitors. Be sure to experience the authentic taste of soba.

The shop faces a large street, and upon entering, you can see the process of making soba, which is exciting. First, several small bowls are served, and the flavors of mountain ingredients and pickles are all delicious. The soba has a wonderful aroma, and the slightly varying thickness of the noodles pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce, complementing the crunchy texture of the wood ear mushrooms. The tempura of wild vegetables comes in various types, reportedly foraged from the mountains, allowing you to feel the season, and the batter is light and crispy. The deer sashimi has no gamey taste, and when paired with a sauce made from dissolved miso, it enhances the umami flavor. The staff are friendly, and I was able to enjoy my meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
