A mountain hideaway where you can enjoy unique Dattan buckwheat

Yamano Soba-ya Sukawa is a heartwarming restaurant where you can enjoy highly regarded freshly grown buckwheat. The yellow Dattan buckwheat is visually unique and features a chewy texture. You can also enjoy tempura alongside it, and the seasonal wild vegetables are exceptional. The rustic yet flavorful soba and tempura captivate all the guests who visit.

The brand new building standing in the mountain valley has a calm atmosphere that is hard to imagine from its exterior. With both table seating and tatami rooms available, you can stretch out and relax even while on your journey. The Dattan soba made from freshly harvested buckwheat has a thick, smooth, and chewy texture that is enjoyable. Its unusual yellow-brown color is also impressive, allowing you to savor it visually as well. The light dipping sauce clings perfectly to the noodles, making it refreshing until the last bite. The separately served tempura, including shrimp, pumpkin, shiso leaves, and eggplant, is crispy, and the light batter enhances the sweetness of the ingredients. Depending on the season, items like snow peas and wasabi greens may appear, providing new discoveries each time you visit.
