An izakaya offering heartwarming hospitality right in front of the station

Located in front of Ito Station, Kikuichi is an izakaya that welcomes visitors with simple yet warm service. The restaurant is known for its dishes made with fresh seafood sourced locally, and the sashimi platter is particularly renowned. The interior exudes a nostalgic Showa-era charm, and the quiet atmosphere created by the reserved owner makes it a comfortable place where you might find yourself lingering longer than intended. It's the perfect spot for those looking to savor local flavors.

It is located within walking distance from the station and has a casual atmosphere that makes it easy to drop in. The interior is small, with a well-arranged counter and tables that create a relaxing environment. There is a rich variety of seafood options, and it is enjoyable to choose from raw dishes to grilled and fried items. The seared tuna wrapped in seaweed enhances the aroma, and the balance of condiments is excellent, making it very delicious. The fried oysters have a crispy coating while remaining moist inside, providing a satisfying burst of ocean flavor. The rice bowls come with miso soup and small side dishes, and the freshness of the ingredients is great; I particularly liked the squid and octopus, which were tender.
