Upon entering the mountain-side community center, a calm café space filled with the warmth of wood unfolds. The fragrant buckwheat tea served first as you take your seat soothes the fatigue from your drive. The coffee, carefully brewed with a siphon, has a good balance of acidity and bitterness, and pairs perfectly with the bite-sized chiffon cake. The specialty buckwheat pudding has a smooth texture, with roasted buckwheat kernels enhancing its nuttiness like caramel. Inside the shop, you can find miso, pickled plums, and works by local artists, making it enjoyable just to look around. I think it’s a wonderful place to take a breather and feel nature in a relaxed atmosphere, especially on weekends.
