A long-established soba restaurant where you can enjoy freshly made soba

Hanada-an is a traditional soba restaurant located in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture, exuding an old-fashioned charm. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a Shigaraki pottery tanuki, and the warm tatami seating creates a cozy atmosphere. The long, white soba noodles are characterized by their chewy texture and rich aroma. The tempura is also freshly fried, crispy, and delicious, providing satisfaction with every visit.

I casually entered a soba restaurant that has been loved by the locals for a long time. The aroma of soba filled the air inside the restaurant, and I felt at ease the moment I walked in. The noodles in the tempura soba were slightly white and thin, with a light texture that was easy to swallow. The freshly fried tempura had a fluffy, thin batter that enhanced the sweetness of the vegetables. The dipping sauce, diluted with soba water, had a deep flavor, and I couldn't put my chopsticks down until the end. After the meal, I received a small complimentary dessert, and the kindness of the staff warmed my heart.
