We had lunch (mini kaiseki) with friends at this restaurant two years ago, and today we came again to taste the mini kaiseki at Chōju. The restaurant's offerings, atmosphere, and service level are as excellent as ever, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants of the same standard. Although the mini kaiseki at Chōju does not use expensive ingredients, both the seafood and other ingredients are very fresh seasonal products, of top quality, and the flavors are very sophisticated. We will definitely come back often to enjoy it.

From the moment you arrive you are treated like VIP’s. The staff and owners are all so friendly and, as English speakers, they made us feel at ease. We had the seasonal kaiseki menu, which was exceptional! Being seasonal it was all super fresh and opened us up to trying things we never would have imagined trying. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this amazing restaurant.

The exterior of this Japanese restaurant has a casual atmosphere, as the restaurant used to sell prepared foods. The inside of the restaurant has a calm and quiet atmosphere. I enjoyed the mini kaiseki for lunch. Sashimi was served on ice, followed by a colorful dish in a dish of eight slices, which we savored with our eyes and tastings. The desserts also had a nice homemade feel.
