At Niku-ya Ichinotou Ukiha-ten, you can savor delicious creative dishes made with carefully selected Kyushu Japanese black beef and locally sourced fresh vegetables. The restaurant caters to various occasions with counter seats and tatami seating, and the friendly service is a charm. During lunchtime, the special teppanyaki and katsu curry are popular, making it easy for even solo diners to enjoy.
There were many customers but the service was good and pleasant. The meat was thick and cheap, and when it was brought to the table it sizzled on the griddle and was hot and very tasty until we finished it. I would like to go there again if I have the chance.
First, a herbal tea is served, which is comforting. For lunch, you can choose between a set menu or a course, making it easy to suit your preferences. The appetizers, salad, quiche, and prosciutto are all carefully prepared and very delicious. The soup, which has the flavor of deer, has a gentle aroma and is easy to eat even for those who are not fond of it. The oven-baked game burger is juicy and satisfying. The freshly baked bread is also fragrant, and it's nice to have a souvenir of game bones for pets.
I visited for lunch. The menu had about four types of set meals, several types of rice cooked in a clay pot, noodles, and side dishes. I was disappointed that there were fewer set meal options than I expected. There were dishes like simmered mackerel, stir-fried chicken with vegetables, simmered beef, and ginger pork with bonito flakes over rice, but the menu didn't have many distinctive items. However, the rice was delicious, and the flavors of the side dishes were also good. The shaved ice was out of peach flavor, and it seemed there were matcha and hojicha options.
