I went to a restaurant where vegetables are the main attraction, located in a peaceful countryside. I could see the chef's brisk movements over the counter, and just watching was exciting. The first dish that arrived was a new potato potage, which was creamy, and then the aroma of spices gently spread, leaving me impressed. I was also happy to be able to season the fluffy focaccia with rock salt and olive oil to my liking. The colorful plate was packed with salad, Western-style chawanmushi, grilled vegetables, and I thoroughly enjoyed the natural sweetness of the vegetables.
