Renowned Eel Specialist Established in 1897, Boasting Tender and Fragrant Delicacies

This eel specialty shop carries on the legacy of traditional flavors born in Katori City. Known for its thick, fatty eel that is tender and almost free of small bones, it offers a delightful roasted aroma. The homemade sauce enhances the eel's umami, and a wide range of options from grilled eel to bento boxes are available for takeout. Conveniently located in a department store directly connected to the station, it is a powerhouse of generous portions.

The eel here has thick, firm flesh and is rich in fat, making it the best. It is grilled after you place your order, so a savory aroma spreads, increasing your appetite. The sauce has a good balance of sweetness and richness, which pairs perfectly with the eel. When you take a bite of the rice soaked in the sauce along with the fluffy eel, it brings a feeling of happiness. The accompanying omelet is also fluffy and makes for a nice palate cleanser. There is an eat-in space, so it's great to enjoy a hot eel rice bowl on the spot.
