When visiting Koyasan, we stopped by Sanbo, a popular restaurant with a long line of customers. There was a wait, but it was well worth it. Everything in the "vegetarian flower basket bento" we ordered was superb, especially the rich flavor of the sesame tofu and the sticky texture of the deep-fried fu dengaku. The takikomi soup stock was also plentiful, and the vegetable tempura was crispy and delicious. I was satisfied with the delicious vegetarian food that I could taste in the sanctuary of Koyasan. I would like to visit this restaurant again.
