When I stopped by for lunch, I was relieved to find a relaxed izakaya-style atmosphere. The kawara steak I ordered was served on a hot kawara tile, and the sound and aroma of the sauce bouncing off the tile was enough to whet my appetite. The meat had a homey flavor with butter soy sauce and black pepper, and the rice went down a treat. The several small bowls of food included in the dish kept me satisfied with the volume of the dish. The staff was kind and attentive to our needs, even taking care of when we needed a refill. I think this restaurant is like a hole-in-the-wall where you can enjoy a relaxing lunch in a restaurant with rock music playing in the background.
