At the age of 3, there is a ceremony called 'Kamioki no Gi' (the hair-placing ceremony). Until the Edo period, it was customary to shave a child's hair until the age of 3, so this ceremony is held when they begin to grow their hair. It is also recommended for the first festival, mochi stepping, and the first New Year.
At age 5, it is the 'Hakama-wearing' ceremony. This is the ritual of dressing a boy in a hakama for the first time. It celebrates the joy of growth up to this day and wishes for healthy growth in the future.
At 7 years old, it is the 'obi-doki' (obi untying). In the Edo period, girls began to wear the same wide obi as adults from this day. It is a ritual to express gratitude for having grown up safely and to wish for continued healthy growth. We have prepared grilled wagyu beef as the main dish.
