A long-established, family-run tonkatsu restaurant

Nestled between Shimizu Ginza and Tomoe River Yanagibashi, Tonkatsu Takimoto is a long-standing tonkatsu shop beloved by the local community for many years. The carefully arranged interior provides a comfortable atmosphere for a pleasant dining experience. You can enjoy exquisite tonkatsu here. Biting into the juicy loin tonkatsu, the sauce and mustard enhance the sweetness of the meat, creating a delightful flavor that spreads in your mouth.

The retro atmosphere is comfortable, and you feel at ease the moment you step in. The fried foods seem to be carefully fried at a slightly lower temperature, resulting in a light, pale batter. In particular, the large shrimp tempura is packed with meat, and with each bite, the sweetness of the shrimp spreads. The thick pork cutlet is surprisingly tender, and when dipped in the accompanying ketchup, it brings back nostalgic flavors. The red miso soup, rice topped with bonito flakes, and small side dishes like cabbage and potato salad make the table lively and provide a high level of satisfaction. You can also choose multigrain rice, which keeps the aftertaste light even when paired with fried foods, allowing you to enjoy the meal deliciously until the end.
