The cozy interior of the shop is quiet, allowing you to relax while chatting with the owner over the counter. It's enjoyable that the menu changes every time, as the fish caught that day in Hiratsuka and nearby ports are displayed. The recommended sashimi platter has a wide variety and generous portions, and the aroma of the grilled ribbonfish is irresistible. The cold tofu topped with plenty of local seaweed and whitebait had a refreshing taste, perfect for hot days. The salted offal stew has a clear kombu broth that is infused with umami, making it easy to enjoy with a drink. The warm atmosphere, where neighbors naturally engage in conversation, is also pleasant, and before you know it, you find yourself lingering in the shop.
