In the eye-catching Chinese deli section of the department store basement, I chose a colorful set of dim sum. The rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves were filled with chunks of chicken and shiitake mushrooms, and the authentic aroma spread throughout my mouth. The jumbo shumai burst with meat juices, and I felt happiness with every bite. The set also included side dishes like shrimp in chili sauce and green pepper beef, with a rich flavor that made the white rice go down easily. The spring rolls and green steamed dumplings provided a light flavor that was a nice accent, keeping things interesting until the end. I couldn't help but smile at the convenience of being able to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine just by warming it up at home.
