A renowned yakitori restaurant showcased by a young owner

Nestled in a back alley near Ogikubo Station, Nidaime Torinana is a yakitori shop where a young owner carries on traditional methods while infusing new ideas. The interior features only counter seating, creating a cozy atmosphere. The owner's meticulous grilling and the use of fresh ingredients result in exquisite skewers. It's a place where you can enjoy a blissful moment with the aroma of yakitori and a drink.

It is a cozy space with a compact L-shaped counter. The quiet owner faces the grill and carefully cooks each skewer one by one. The chicken breast is juicy with a hint of yuzu pepper, and the thigh has a crispy, fragrant skin that is satisfying. The liver is fluffy and tender with no unpleasant smell, and the meatball has a dense texture that is filling. The pickled plum served as an appetizer has a pleasant crunch and acidity, and the lightly pickled egg is perfectly seasoned for snacking. The grilling level and flavor balance are all just right, and I smile every time a skewer is served.
