A moment of Japanese kaiseki with a sense of wood

Wasouan is a renowned restaurant located in a quiet area of Sayama. The chef, having trained in Kyoto, prepares each dish with heartfelt care, showcasing rich flavors that highlight seasonal ingredients. The beautifully plated dishes are almost too exquisite to eat, making you pause as you pick up your chopsticks. Enjoy a special moment with dishes that cherish the essence of Japanese cuisine, available even from the counter seats.

My sister, who is in the countryside, came home this spring and said she wanted Japanese food, so we made a reservation and had a kaiseki dinner. It is a good restaurant where you can enjoy the seasonal flavors and the appearance of the restaurant and its dishes. It is a popular restaurant in the area and is run by the owner alone, so it is best to make a reservation early in the day. The menu consists of kaiseki and shokado, as I recall.

A couple of us went there for lunch. Each dish was carefully prepared and very tasty. They were also very particular about the dishes and explained them to us. The restaurant is very small, so it is better to make a reservation.
