Cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the season when the Jikoin Temple is most lively. The menu at Sakon is also vibrant, incorporating ingredients such as bamboo shoots, tree buds, and mountain vegetables throughout the course to deliver a colorful taste of spring. Additionally, you can enjoy seasonal seafood such as firefly squid and whitefish unique to this time of year.
In addition to the indispensable coolness of the summer delicacy of eel dishes in Kyoto, we also offer a menu where you can enjoy ayu, octopus, and fresh summer vegetables. We also have chilled soups that are visually cool and chilled simmered dishes with a refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoy the harmony of refreshing flavors in Kyoto's summer, known for its extreme heat.
Autumn, when the mountains are ablaze with colorful leaves, is a season that brings vitality to the Imperial Palace along with the cherry blossom season. Matsutake mushrooms, chestnuts, persimmons, ginkgo nuts... a variety of blessings from the mountains, and the bounty of the sea with fatty delights such as autumn salmon and saury. Using carefully selected ingredients from the mountains and the sea, we will entertain you with a menu full of seasonal flavors.
During the severe winter known as 'Kyoto's chilling cold', various root vegetables such as Seigoin turnips, which have grown and increased in flavor, are incorporated into the menu. In addition, dishes using winter delicacies such as crab and blowfish, and hot pot dishes using soft-shelled turtle and yellowtail, are prepared to warm both the body and soul.
We cooked Kyoto yuba and chirimen with a light taste, while bringing out the flavor of hand-picked Japanese pepper one by one. Please try the taste of Kyoto with yuba and chirimen. It is perfect not only for rice but also as a snack for alcohol. 130g
Sakon-zuke is a popular 'shiba-zuke' made with Hiroshima vegetables and sesame seeds as a 'ka no mono' for rice at our store. It has a mild taste with reduced acidity and is well received. Enjoy it with rice. 200g
At our store, we serve the 'Gengohei Watermelon,' which is familiar with Nara pickles, marinated in tamari soy sauce. Please enjoy the light taste that is completely different from Nara pickles. You can enjoy it just by cutting it without washing it. Comes in a pack of 2.
We offer various types of alcohol that go well with our dishes.
