Release Date: 1/11/24 - The final release of release of the 2023 'Fado Gives Back' program and this barrel does not disappoint! With "One Goal" in mind, we chose Pelotonia as we are all trying to 'End Cancer'. At 116.6 proof, this 10+yr old barrel comes out of Heaven Hill main campus, Rickhouse A. On the nose you will get a sweet caramel and candied almonds. On the palate you receive that same sweet caramel with a toasted oak right up the middle of the tongue. The perfect amount of heat will linger and provide a warmth, but the flavors will continue to marinate. I hope you enjoy!

As part of the Fado Gives Back 2023 program, this barrel is dedicated to show awareness to Columbus Humane. Columbus Humane has many programs that assists and aids animals and shelters alike. Nose - Creme Brule, caramelized brown sugar Palate - Brown sugar with a caramelized orange zest. The proof runs through the tongue from start to back, but stops before the finish. This Private Selection is made of up with 5 - French Cuvee, 1 - Maker's Mark 46, 3 - Roasted French Mendiant and 1 - Toasted French Spice. Nose: Notes of Vanilla leads to a hint of butterscotch and nuttiness Palate: Initial buttery-sweetness gives way to a warming roasted almond and baking spice mid-palate Finish: The baking spice softens to bring slight notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom.

The very first Private Selection to ever hit the State of Ohio! Coming out of Alabama, we are excited to showcase this newest Fado Single Barrel. Released on 10/11/23, this single barrel is a month shy of being 6yrs old. Right off the nose you will get a sweet, buttery caramel & vanilla notes. Those same flavors coat the front of the palate and mid-way back a small welcoming rye spice will hit softly. The finish is clean and fresh with a lingering warmness. Perfect for a mild, chilly day! This barrel is a part of the Fado Gives Back Program where we successfully raised money for DSACO (Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio). Money was raised and we had a successful kickoff event to show awareness to the needs and support of such a great cause. Cheers!!
Picked at 115 proof, this newest Fado single barrel pick brings vanilla and toasted almonds on the nose. Made from 75% Corn, 13% Rye and 12% Malted Barley, this single barrel coats the tongue with a lovely creaminess. Notes of an orange zest will be up front and gets a little smokier as it goes back. An effervescence comes back forward on the palate and into the nasal cavity and a clean, yet warm finish. Fado Gives Back - Kelly's Hero This barrel pick is named Kelly's Hero to honor our dear friend, Teresa Kelly Bridgette. Teresa battled ALS with a ferocity like none other. Unfortunately, Teresa lost her battle to this unrelenting and dibilitating disease on 7/4/23 right before this bottle was released. Funds have been raised and given to the family to help cover costs endured.
Released on 4/20/2023 - This newest release of Buffalo Trace is a Fado exclusive. This Private Label Single Barrel has a sweet caramel and butterscotch nose and on the beginning of the palate. A nice, but subtle rye spice will coat the middle-back of the palate and leave an extremely enjoyable, soft finish! Delicious!!
Picked on 9/6/22 down at Wild Turkey with Bruce Russell, this private label single barrel was distilled on 12/26/12 and aged in Warehouse K on the 4th floor for nearly 10years. It was dumped on 10/19/22 and bottled on 11/7/22 at their signature 110 proof. It was given the name "Creme of the Crop" for its coating mouthfeel. Caramel and hints of rye on the nose. It coats the palate and midway through, baking spice and toasted oak will come through. A slight spice finishes on the back of the tongue, and just melts into a slightly warm and beautiful ending. I hope you enjoy!
With just a hair under 9yrs old (turned 9 right after bottling), this 6th floor Deatsville Rickhouse barrel pick is bright and vibrant with citrus notes on the front of the palate and a beautiful Caramel finish. A true testament to why the Deatsville location is where Heaven Hill's most coveted barrels come out of!

The two of us gathered down in Kentucky at Four Roses to pick this gem. Aged 10yrs and 5 months, we unanimously selected this OESK recipe. Sitting at 108.2 proof, on the nose you will a sweet and rich salted caramel and a hint of spice. On the palate, that sweetness quickly spices at the mid-palate and hints of butterscotch joins in with the spice. The finish is a growing warmth that pleasantly lingers.

A team of diverse and great palates traveled down to make this exclusive selection. The final product presents a sweet, buttercream and caramel nose. With "One Goal" in mind, we chose Pelotonia as we are all trying to 'End Cancer'. At 116.6 proof, this 10+yr old barrel comes out of Heaven Hill main campus, Rickhouse A. On the nose you will get a sweet caramel and candied almonds. On the palate you receive that same sweet caramel with a toasted oak right up the middle of the tongue. This barrel is a part of the Fado Gives Back Program where we successfully raised money for DSACO (Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio). Picked at 115 proof, this newest Fado single barrel pick brings vanilla and toasted almonds on the nose. Made from 75% Corn, 13% Rye and 12% Malted Barley, this single barrel coats the tongue with a lovely creaminess. Notes of an orange zest will be up front and gets a little smokier as it goes back. An effervescence comes back forward on the palate and into the nasal cavity and a clean, yet warm finish. Fado Gives Back - Kelly's Hero This barrel pick is named Kelly's Hero to honor our dear friend, Teresa Kelly Bridgette. Teresa battled ALS with a ferocity like none other. Unfortunately, Teresa lost her battle to this unrelenting and dibilitating disease on 7/4/23 right before this bottle was released. Funds have been raised and given to the family to help cover costs endured.
Released on 4/20/2023 - This newest release of Buffalo Trace is a Fado exclusive. This Private Label Single Barrel has a sweet caramel and butterscotch nose and on the beginning of the palate. A nice, but subtle rye spice will coat the middle-back of the palate and leave an extremely enjoyable, soft finish! Delicious!!
Picked on 9/6/22 down at Wild Turkey with Bruce Russell, this private label single barrel was distilled on 12/26/12 and aged in Warehouse K on the 4th floor for nearly 10years. It was dumped on 10/19/22 and bottled on 11/7/22 at their signature 110 proof. It was given the name "Creme of the Crop" for its coating mouthfeel. Caramel and hints of rye on the nose. It coats the palate and midway through, baking spice and toasted oak will come through. A slight spice finishes on the back of the tongue, and just melts into a slightly warm and beautiful ending. I hope you enjoy!

Those same flavors coat the front of the palate and mid-way back a small welcoming rye spice will hit softly. The finish is clean and fresh with a lingering warmness. Perfect for a mild, chilly day! This barrel is a part of the Fado Gives Back Program where we successfully raised money for DSACO (Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio). Another AMAZING collaboration with the 2nd & 7 Foundation: A local charity founded by Ohio State Football alum's Mike Vrabel & Ryan Miller where the mission is to tackle children's illiteracy while promoting student athletes to pay-it-forward! Entering into the barrel at 114-proof, this supremely aged single barrel starts off with a rich brown sugar and a hint of butterscotch on the nose. A buttery-sweetness starts on the tip of the tongue and quickly enters in caramel and baking spice up the middle. Slight hints of apple may peek out on the sides of your palate. The finish softens and a lingering warmth sits there as you sit back and wanting more! (Limited Quantity Available - Not available in the Fado Private Selection Flight)
NEW - Released 2/4/25 Simple description: Sweet Heat - With only 4-single barrels released to the on-premises accounts, Fado partnered up with the great neighborhood bar, Revelry Tavern. The two of us gathered down in Kentucky at Four Roses to pick this gem. Aged 10yrs and 5 months, we unanimously selected this OESK recipe. Sitting at 108.2 proof, on the nose you will a sweet and rich salted caramel and a hint of spice. On the palate, that sweetness quickly spices at the mid-palate and hints of butterscotch joins in with the spice. The finish is a growing warmth that pleasantly lingers.
NEW - Release Date 1/30/25 Partnering with Stacey Lambright - Visionary of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). A team of diverse and great palates traveled down to make this exclusive selection. The final product presents a sweet, buttercream and caramel nose. The front of the palate has a sweet, velvety and creamy coat to the tongue. On the back you will have an inviting spice from the rye that is gentle, but present. A smooth and clean finish!
Release Date: 1/11/24 - The final release of release of the 2023 'Fado Gives Back' program and this barrel does not disappoint! With "One Goal" in mind, we chose Pelotonia as we are all trying to 'End Cancer'. At 116.6 proof, this 10+yr old barrel comes out of Heaven Hill main campus, Rickhouse A. On the nose you will get a sweet caramel and candied almonds. On the palate you receive that same sweet caramel with a toasted oak right up the middle of the tongue. The perfect amount of heat will linger and provide a warmth, but the flavors will continue to marinate. I hope you enjoy!

This Private Selection is made of up with 5 - French Cuvee, 1 - Maker's Mark 46, 3 - Roasted French Mendiant and 1 - Toasted French Spice. Nose: Notes of Vanilla leads to a hint of butterscotch and nuttiness Palate: Initial buttery-sweetness gives way to a warming roasted almond and baking spice mid-palate Finish: The baking spice softens to bring slight notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom.

The very first Private Selection to ever hit the State of Ohio! Coming out of Alabama, we are excited to showcase this newest Fado Single Barrel. Released on 10/11/23, this single barrel is a month shy of being 6yrs old. Right off the nose you will get a sweet, buttery caramel & vanilla notes. Those same flavors coat the front of the palate and mid-way back a small welcoming rye spice will hit softly. The finish is clean and fresh with a lingering warmness. Perfect for a mild, chilly day! This barrel is a part of the Fado Gives Back Program where we successfully raised money for DSACO (Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio). Money was raised and we had a successful kickoff event to show awareness to the needs and support of such a great cause. Cheers!!
Picked at 115 proof, this newest Fado single barrel pick brings vanilla and toasted almonds on the nose. Made from 75% Corn, 13% Rye and 12% Malted Barley, this single barrel coats the tongue with a lovely creaminess. Notes of an orange zest will be up front and gets a little smokier as it goes back. An effervescence comes back forward on the palate and into the nasal cavity and a clean, yet warm finish. Fado Gives Back - Kelly's Hero This barrel pick is named Kelly's Hero to honor our dear friend, Teresa Kelly Bridgette. Teresa battled ALS with a ferocity like none other. Unfortunately, Teresa lost her battle to this unrelenting and dibilitating disease on 7/4/23 right before this bottle was released. Funds have been raised and given to the family to help cover costs endured.
With just a hair under 9yrs old (turned 9 right after bottling), this 6th floor Deatsville Rickhouse barrel pick is bright and vibrant with citrus notes on the front of the palate and a beautiful Caramel finish. A true testament to why the Deatsville location is where Heaven Hill's most coveted barrels come out of!
