The moment I saw the words 'Founded in the first year of the Tenpo era' on the signboard, I was excited by the length of its history. Inside the restaurant, the tables and low tables are comfortably arranged, making it surprisingly spacious and relaxing. The thick, chewy soba noodles are rich in aroma and pair perfectly with the subtly sweet dipping sauce. When diluted with soba broth after the meal, the umami of the dashi stands out, leaving me feeling happy until the end. The katsu in the katsu don is thick, and the not-too-strong sauce seeps into the rice, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. With friendly service and a satisfying portion size, both my stomach and heart were very satisfied.
