Good champagne at a value price can be a hard find. Really good Champagne at a value price is near impossible until we found this guy. Chardonnay and pinot noir made ups the blend here in this lovely champagne from the Côtes des Bar. The wine is aged in oak for 18 months before being bottled and has the tiniest dose of sweetness to round out the racing acidity. Delicious!!!

This is the muscadet you serve to friends who don't yet know they like Muscadet. Gold in color, the wine has a perfumed nose of orange marmalade, roasted white peach, guava and honeysuckle, with a hint of baking spice. Lemon-tinged creaminess on the palate leads into Asian pear and honeydew melon on the long finish. Rich and complex from one of the best parcels in the region
Natural wines are all the rage and this Pét-Nat (Pétillant Naturel, ie: Naturally Sparkling) is fun and refreshing, made in the style of Champagne but unclarified, a richness abounds with notes of sour grapefruit, citrus, biscuits and cream, this is a perfect starter with shellfish of other light fare. Bulgaria is one of the most exciting up-and-coming wine regions and this example delivers excellent value for quality

Jérémie Huchet is a fourth-generation Loire Valley vigneron and has reinvigorated his family's Muscadet legacy since taking over in 2001. Known as one of the leading figures in the modern Muscadet revival, Huchet farms roughly 60–65 ha of vineyards with a strong commitment to organic and terroir-driven viticulture, hand-harvesting Melon de Bourgogne and vinifying each parcel to express the unique granite-based soils of Sèvre et Maine. His 2019 Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine "Château-Thébaud" is crafted from vines on granite soil and spent extended time on its lees to build texture and complexity, delivering bright citrus and mineral notes with crisp acidity and depth that reflect both the maritime influence of the region and Huchet's meticulous, traditional approach to winemaking
Claude Branger is a third-generation vigneron at where he and his son Sébastien farm organically with meticulous, low-yield viticulture and hand harvesting in the heart of one of the region's most expressive terroirs. This bottling comes from the celebrated Monnières-Saint-Fiacre cru, specifically the Gras Moutons vineyard on gneiss soils, and is made from 100 % Melon de Bourgogne with indigenous yeasts and extended aging on the fine lees, resulting in a wine of depth, saline minerality, and concentrated citrus-driven character that reflects both the maritime influence and the classic Muscadet sur lie tradition elevated by low yields and thoughtful cellar work
As the days get shorter and cooler, fall evenings call for one wine and that is the lovely crus of Beaujolais. Lucky for us, it is the perfect red wine to drink with seafood. This example, with the gamey grapes grown in the granite/clay soil of Southern Burgundy gives amazing cherry, raspberry, and spice notes with a light-bodied, long finish. Mommessin has been making wines in the area for over 150 years and have perfected their craft. Absolutely delicious!

As the days get shorter and cooler, fall evenings call for one wine and that is the lovely crus of Beaujolais. Lucky for us, it is the perfect red wine to drink with seafood. This example, with the gamey grapes grown in the granite/clay soil of Southern Burgundy gives amazing cherry, raspberry, and spice notes with a light-bodied, long finish. Mommessin has been making wines in the area for over 150 years and have perfected their craft. Absolutely delicious!
