Sitting at the counter, the bottles of sake lined up in front of me enhance the atmosphere. The lunch set comes out quickly after ordering, and the fried items are piping hot with an irresistible aroma. The thick fried horse mackerel has a perfect balance between its crispy coating and fluffy flesh. When I dip the creamy crab croquette in homemade tartar sauce, a gentle sweetness spreads throughout my mouth. I can easily request a large serving of rice or a refill, which greatly increases my satisfaction. The small bowls of miso soup and macaroni salad are also carefully prepared, allowing me to enjoy my meal until the very end.
