A hand-made noodle specialty shop in a charming residential area

Nestled in a residential neighborhood, Iseya is a hidden gem where you can enjoy hand-made noodles. The white dashi-based broth, rich in umami, is popular, and the freshly fried tempura enhances the flavors. The carefully crafted dishes are a highlight. This is a place you should visit if you want to enjoy udon or soba.

While walking through a residential area, I happened to find a shop with a calm atmosphere and decided to stop by. The interior was quiet, and the aroma of handmade kishimen and soba wafted through the air, raising my expectations. The freshly fried tempura had a crispy batter, and the shrimp was plump, which left a strong impression. The clear white dashi broth had a gentle umami flavor, with a hint of citrus aroma, making it a taste that I wanted to drink until the last drop. The chewy kishimen, occasionally mixed with thicker noodles, provided a nice accent, allowing me to enjoy a smooth texture. Although it was in an inconspicuous location, the couple who seemed to run the place managed it with care, creating a warm atmosphere to enjoy the meal.
