Heartwarming local cuisine utilizing regional ingredients

Nestled near Ikaho Onsen, Fukinotou is a cozy public dining hall where you can enjoy local dishes made with wild vegetables sourced from the area. The chewy, wide noodles characteristic of Gunma's famous udon and the fragrant shumai are particularly recommended. The interior has a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to unwind, and the pleasant service is an added charm.

The interior has a homely atmosphere, with a counter and a small raised kotatsu that are comfortable. The menu is extensive, and there are many types of ramen, making it fun to choose. The miso ramen, which has a hint of curry, is full of vegetables and has a light aftertaste that I like. The soy sauce ramen is also well-balanced, and the fragrant chashu pairs well with it. The wild vegetable shumai has a gentle homemade flavor, and the rice is cooked just right. There are also locals, making it lively, and it's a perfect place for izakaya use.
