A special edition from the Macduff distillery, also often known as the Glen Deveron distillery. One of 119 bottles. Hails from the Highland region of Scotland and was aged in a single hogshead. Bottled exclusively to Aberdeen Whisky Shop. Nose: Cool and neat, fresh almonds and candied citrus steeped in chamomile tea. Palate: Deep and complete. Fino style brightness lead to reel of roasted peach, hay smoke, pinhead oats and spice and white pears. Finish: Firm and fresh. ABV 51.6%

Finn Thomson Private Cask Collection offers a unique style of smokiness that is far apart from the better known Islay styles. Nose: A warm coffee house in Seattle; roasting beans, the oily nuttiness in a fine espresso, there are little notes of malt and cereal and butter from the pastry counter with rich orange from the fruit bowl on the counter. Crafted in a triple cask combination of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. Nose: Complex with hints of vanilla, melon and lemon zest. Palate: Medium balanced with lemon citrus, vanilla and light toasted oak and nutmeg. Finish: Lingering with melon, papaya, fresh oak and oak spice. ABV 40%

Nose: Dark mint chocolate, tangerines and Seville oranges mingle with sandalwood and walnut before giving way to a spicy finish of pepper and nutmeg. Palate: Mint chocolate and walnuts envelop the palate like velvet, laying the foundations for rose, Turkish delight and sweet Seville oranges. ABV 46%

Nose: A ridge of vanilla leads to mountain of peat capped with citrus fruits and circled by clouds of sea spray. Palate: Sweet vanilla counterbalanced with lemon and lime followed by that surging Ardbeg smoke that we all know and love. ABV 46%

Nose: Subtle lemon and honey, balanced beautifully by Bowmore`s trademark peaty smokiness. Palate: Warm and delicious with subtle dark choco-late flavours leading to a long and mellow finish. ABV 40%

A special edition from the Macduff distillery, also often known as the Glen Deveron distillery. One of 119 bottles. Hails from the Highland region of Scotland and was aged in a single hogshead. Bottled exclusively to Aberdeen Whisky Shop. Nose: Cool and neat, fresh almonds and candied citrus steeped in chamomile tea. Palate: Deep and complete. Fino style brightness lead to reel of roasted peach, hay smoke, pinhead oats and spice and white pears. Finish: Firm and fresh. ABV 51.6%

One of 164 bottles were produced. Aged in a single-refill bourbon barrel, resulting in a light, sweet whisky with delicate peppery spice and notes of fresh tart apples. Finn Thomson Private Cask Collection offers a unique style of smokiness that is far apart from the better known Islay styles. Specially created by the Distillery's Master Distiller. Matured in ex-bourbon American oak cask, and finished in the fines Madeira wine casks from Portugal’s Madeira Island. Nose: Inviting aromas of butterscotch and ginger biscuits mingled with caramelized pecans, dried pineapple and baking spices. Palate: Mouth coating layers of peach cobbler, golden syrup and crème caramel married with toasted walnuts, praline and candied peels. Finish: Impressions of brandy butter, honey cake and salted caramel leaving a dark chocolate and cinnamon glow. From the town of Brechin, Angus, 45 minutes drive from here. ABV 46%

Nose: A warm coffee house in Seattle; roasting beans, the oily nuttiness in a fine espresso, there are little notes of malt and cereal and butter from the pastry counter with rich orange from the fruit bowl on the counter. Palate: Notes of Seville marmalade and triple sec with winter spices and fruitcake. Zesty cocoa and milk chocolate. ABV 40%

Nose: Aromatic, toffee, fruit salad, lush nectarine, custard. Floral, apple blossom, honeysuckle. Apple peels, pear, touch of smoke. Palate: Malty. Walnuts steeped in manuka honey with vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves its way through the cereal with a touch of spice. ABV 43%

Nose: Very fruity and thick. Rich notes of lemon, nectarine and apple. Spices. Palate: Fresh and balanced, vanilla. Boiled sweets, very creamy, tiramisu, toffee. Finish: Quite long, gentle, malty and very fruity. ABV 40%

Crafted in a triple cask combination of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. Nose: Complex with hints of vanilla, melon and lemon zest. Palate: Medium balanced with lemon citrus, vanilla and light toasted oak and nutmeg. Finish: Lingering with melon, papaya, fresh oak and oak spice. ABV 40%

Nose: Dark mint chocolate, tangerines and Seville oranges mingle with sandalwood and walnut before giving way to a spicy finish of pepper and nutmeg. Palate: Mint chocolate and walnuts envelop the palate like velvet, laying the foundations for rose, Turkish delight and sweet Seville oranges. ABV 46%

Nose: Rich sweetness and fruits - oranges, lemons and pears, with sea-salt and peaty smokiness. Body: Full, rich. Palate: Mouth-filling late autumn fruits - dried figs and honey-sweet spices; followed by a smoky malty dryness. ABV 43%
