This refined sparkling wine shows layers of creamy yeasty flavours with citrus and green apple. The Patricia Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Brut has spent 6 years on yeast lees for autolysis development. This is a vital part of building flavour and complexity into the Patricia sparkling wines. Description: Vineyard Region: King Valley; Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol: 12.5%; Colour: A clean bright colour with a fine persistent bead; Aroma: The nose is lifted with green apple, lemon zest and the early morning aromas of freshly baked goods; Palate: The palate is full bodied and complex with prominent lemon and lime flavours and a bready nuance that lingers. It is creamy and elegant with a crisp, dry finish and refreshing acidity; Peak Drinking: Until 2024. Recommended food pairings: This refined sparkling wine makes the perfect start to a special meal and is delightful with freshly shucked oysters and squeeze of lemon juice. Alternatively, try it with steamed barramundi and Asian greens or fried pork fillet with lime and ginger dressing. If the timing is right don't forget about lobster or crab! Growing Conditions: The fruit for the Patricia Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Brut is grown on the high altitude Whitlands plateau. The climate is extremely cool at 800m above sea level in the upper reaches of the King Valley. The 2013 vintage is a blend of 76% Pinot Noir and 24% Chardonnay. The fruit was hand picked in March and whole bunch pressed. Winemaker: Cate Looney. Winemaking notes: The secondary fermentation was deliberately extended to produce a fine bead, then given 6 years on lees to provide further complexity. The wine was then disgorged and liqueured, with an alcohol of 12.5%, a pH of 3.15 and an acid level of 7.1 g/L. This wine was made in strict adherence to the 'Traditional Method'
An elegant style balancing natural acidity with complexity and ripe stone fruit flavour. This vintage is a combination our two vineyards in Tasmania representing the best possible blend for chardonnay in 2018. Vineyard Region: Tasmania and Yarra Valley; Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol: 12.5%; Colour: A vibrant straw colour with a slight green hue; Aroma: The nose is complex with aromas of stone fruits, cashews, citrus and pear; Palate: The palate is elegant with minerally characters, struck match complexity and incredible length. It is a crisp wine with well balanced acidity, oak, and layers of intrigue; Peak Drinking: Until 2025. Recommended food pairings: For the summer months the 2018 Patricia Chardonnay would be perfect with Garlic marinated king prawns gently fried and with a lemon mayonnaise dipping sauce. During winter try it with wild mushroom risotto. It is also the perfect accompaniment to a ripe brie cheese and slices of pear. Growing Conditions: The fruit was harvested during the middle part of March in 2018 at baumé levels ranging from 12 to 13. The fruit was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to minimise phenolic extraction. Winemaker: Tom Wallace. Winemaking notes: All components completed fermentation in barrel on full solids and with natural yeast to add complexity. The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation to add a further layer of interest and also to reduce the high levels of natural acidity of the 2018 vintage. The wine spent 11 months in a combination of new (26%), and seasoned French oak barriques with the lees continually stirred to ensure complexity and refinement. The wine was bottled with an alcohol of 13.0%, a pH of 3.07 and an acid level of 7.08g/L.

It is also a perfect match with cheese platters – including strong flavoured blues and pungent washed rind styles, or with a rich paté at the start of a great meal. Growing Conditions: This wine can be challenging to grow and to make. The right climatic conditions and the picking time are pivotal to the success of the wine. Towards the end of vintage each year, a portion of the Riesling fruit is left to hang on the vines for late harvesting. In the warm, moist conditions brought about by morning mists and gentle autumn rains, the grapes attract the mould Botrytis Cinerea or 'Noble Rot'. This mould grows on the grape skins resulting in thinning of the skins which leads to loss of fluid from the berries, leaving them shrunken, raisined and highly concentrated in sugar and flavour. From these shrivelled grapes we produce our Noble Riesling. Winemaker: Cate Looney. Winemaking notes: Fruit for the 2015 vintage was hand picked from mid March to early May, between 20.5 and 22.2 baumé with significant botrytis development. The wine was bottled with an alcohol of 10.5%, a pH of 3.56, an acid level of 8.0g/L and a residual sugar level of 193g/L
"Hand-picked, botrytis-affected. Deep gold. A style that has won and continues to win major awards, placing it among Australia's best dessert white wines. Brilliant deep gold. Resonates throughout with golden syrup, apricot, citrus blossom and orange peel. Thick and sticky, clings to the sides of the mouth and won't let go. Toffee, nutty, caramel go long on the finish. Luscious and clean." Jeni Port
"Named in honour of the family matriarch, Patricia never ceases to be anything less than exciting drinking. Since the move by Brown Brothers into Tasmania, it has gained a slightly different, cooler and finer flavour base. That said, the '18 vintage presents a rich, evocative Chardonnay of preserved lemon, ginger biscuit, white peach, lemon rind, honeyed spice. There is generosity without being heavy. Bad day? Here is the antidote." Jeni Port
"Almost opaque with a bright red hue. Cedar, toast, poached black cherry and blackberries, plum and licorice. Ripe with density, layers of sweet fruit and silty, earthy tannins and fine line of acidity to keep it all bright and fresh." David Bicknell

Growing Conditions: Muscat of Alexandria is part of the exotic Muscat family. The Romans are believed to have given the grape its name as they found its distinctive aroma akin to that of musk, and hence called it Moscato – smelling of musk. Viticulture experts have identified at least 200 different members of the Muscat family and several of these different clones have been cultivated in Australia for as long as grapes have been grown here. Australian winemakers have a fondness for the variety. It produces delicious, plump, juicy grapes and, depending on which clone is cultivated, when it is harvested and how it is handled, it can produce a wide range of wine styles. If harvested early, it produces delicate, perfumed, crisp, dry white table wines but if left to hang on the vines several weeks longer it produces rich flavoursome dessert wines. Winemaker: Katherine Brown. Winemaking notes: This wine is made from Muscat of Alexandria and Orange Muscat grapes. The grapes were harvested from mid February to late April 2020 at baumés ranging from 10.5 to 12.0.

The grapes were harvested from mid February to late April 2020 at baumés ranging from 10.5 to 12.0.
