There are many dishes made with fresh local fish caught at the port, and you can feel the freshness in each one. The sashimi is thick, and the flavor spreads as you chew, which was satisfying. The tempura has a fluffy batter that enhances the taste of the ingredients, and both the squid and shrimp are substantial. The miso soup with seaweed has a nice thickness, allowing you to fully appreciate the aroma of the miso. The fried fish paste (ago) has a pleasant aroma, a fun texture, and pairs well with drinks. The grilled chicken skewers and fried small shrimp are also served hot, with a good balance of saltiness that makes you want to keep eating.
