A good balance of sweet and tart: dark chocolate, plums, and molasses mix with cherry cordial and rhubarb pie. Black licorice and a smoky aftertaste present an interesting edginess, but this beer is like a marriage in that the exciting first impressions ultimately become mundane as the flavors come into balance. In the end, the rhubarb is muddled with chocolate, and the scale tips a bit more towards the sweet side. Sri Lanka

A light golden yellow with a dense white head that falls off leaving what is actually nice-looking lacing, this looks pretty good! The nose is an acceptable blend of light cereal sweetness, doughy malts, a mild hop character that's got notes of dust and earth and a mild vegetal note as well. Ethiopia
