The genre is okonomiyaki and monjayaki.
The restaurant is unique in that the owner himself cooks the okonomiyaki at each seat or right in front of the counter. We especially recommend the modern-yaki, which is very flavorful and goes very well with sake.
It is also open during the daytime, so it is recommended for lunch.
The genre is barayaki.
Barayaki is famous in Aomori, and this restaurant is said to be its origin. Like yakiniku (barbecued meat), it includes top belly, pork, and loin, and is stir-fried with onions and sauce on a circular griddle. The contents are simple, but the sauce is quite tasty and the rice is unstoppable. The smell tends to linger, so you might want to be careful what you wear.
