We went for a short excursion to Kagawa and had dinner at Isshaku, a restaurant we both wanted to try. I guess it is very popular. The wait was surprisingly short and we were able to enter the restaurant in about 20 minutes. And it was a pretty good seat with a partition by the window. I'm an indecisive bastard, and here I start worrying again 😂. Should I go for the parent chicken or the chickens.... In the end, I decided to order one each, saying I wanted to try both. My boyfriend ordered onigiri🍙 and I ordered tori-meshi🐔🍚. I ordered the chicken rice 🐔🍚. (Cabbage was included, but if you didn't want it, they would remove it if you asked.) The long-awaited chicken on the bone! I was so excited to get the chicken on the bone that I didn't care if people saw me or not. LOL! The chicken is chewy, so they cut a big slit in it for us. The more you bite into it, the more the chicken's flavor fills your mouth. The chicken is thick and juicy. The chicken is thick and juicy, with a lot of salt and pepper and a strong garlic aroma. The spicy and rich flavor of this dish is addictive. I don't drink alcohol, so this richness of flavor makes me want to eat more rice. If you like to drink, it will probably make your beer go further 🍺. The oyadori chicken is easily cooled down because of the slit, so if you want to eat it hot, I recommend you eat it early. LOL! The chicken rice is lightly seasoned and goes well with the strong flavored chicken bones. I was worried about whether I would be able to finish it since it was quite a large portion, but I almost finished it by myself🤣. Carbohydrates are delicious! I usually skip carbohydrates only at night, but I eat them when I go out for dinner. The takuan (pickled radish) that comes with it is also very crunchy and tasty. I love takuan (pickled radish) and other pickles. No wonder it is so popular at Isshaku. I want to go back! Next time, I want to eat two chickens, one for the chicks and one for the oyadori. LOL! The Kagawa excursion was a lot of fun and went by in no time at all. Thanks for driving, boyfriend 🙏🙏. Let's go on another little excursion!

I enjoyed my meal in the spacious hall. I had my first chicken on the bone, which was very tasty and impressive, but I think it would be better if you could tell us when it will be ready (approximately) when we order. The kind you want to eat once in a while! 😋 Kagawa Isshaku's chicken on the bone! It seems that chicken lovers all over the country know about it and it's becoming quite popular 😄. Of course, there are so many locals who don't know about it, but it's so good that even people from Ehime go there for it! I'm sure it's so good that even people from Ehime go there for it!

We had the oyafowl and the baby chicken respectively. The more you bite into the oyadori, the juicier it is and the more beer you drink! If you are a sake lover, this is the one for you. However, it gets very hard when it gets cold, so it is better to eat it as soon as possible. The baby chicken is soft and very tasty. The elasticity of chicken I know well. This one was more rice. Both of them are really spicy and you must have sake or rice. It might be hard to have a single dish. I live in Kanagawa, so I'll try Yokohama branch next time ^^. Thanks for the food!

I honestly don't know why it is so popular. The hinadori is just too salty and painful to eat at a level where all you can taste is pepper and other spices. As for oyadori, it is less seasoned than hinadori, and it has a unique elasticity that hinadori does not have, making it relatively tasty. However, it becomes hard and inedible after a little time, and since there are not many items on the menu, I think it is not suitable for a leisurely meal over drinks in the evening. It is not necessarily bad, but it is unlikely that I will repeat the experience. I think the wait staff was energetic and pleasant, but in general, they put out too much "busyness" all over the place.
