Shonan Kokko Karaage is made from 'Shingen-dori' chickens raised on feed mixed with natural sugar 'trehalose' in the great nature of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps. These 'Shingen-dori' chickens are processed by artisans while still fresh, marinated in a secret sauce that is slowly simmered, and seasoned. It takes about 3 days to make one piece of karaage. Finally, they are fried in homemade chicken oil (chyu) and served to customers. When you bite into it, the juicy meat juice spreads in your mouth, and the unforgettable taste is captivating. It is said to be delicious to eat the karaage alone, with rice, or sandwiched between bread.
