The northern slope of Mount Etna experiences significant temperature differences between day and night, which allows for the production of high-quality grapes. As the name Sassi (stone) cala (a place), it is a stony vineyard ideal for Cabernet similar to the Médoc region. Aromas of ripe fruit, violet, vanilla, herbs, and caramel. The tannins are meaty but supple with a velvety texture. Maintains elegant acidity leading to a long finish.
Tuscany region Bolgheri Cabernet Sauvignon 45% Merlot 38% Cabernet Franc 10% Petit Verdot 7% A wonderful land that combines the soil of Bordeaux's right bank Pomerol and Saint-Émilion with California's climate. Named 'Ornellaia' because there were many ash trees (Orello). A rich finish with prominent fruit flavors and complex aromas amidst notes of spice and resin.
The charm of Masseto, a 100% Merlot from Bolgheri in Tuscany, is compared to ch. Petrus and ch. Pomerol. Pinot Grigio 85% Other 15% Orange wine from Majella National Park in Abruzzo. Pale rose pink as an orange wine. Aged in amphora. Gently fragrant with strawberry and orange, with a light sweet aroma reminiscent of maple syrup. Soft and mild acidity, with a lightly rich sweetness akin to the south. The aftertaste has a very light astringency, leaving a lively nuance of strawberry. Recommended as an introduction to orange wine.
