'Miyako Yasai Kamo' is a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes made with Miyako vegetables in a buffet style. We are committed to using Miyako vegetables grown in Kyoto, and you can eat the vegetables harvested that day on the same day. The Miyako vegetables used in our dishes are collected by our head chef and staff who work together to visit farms, or they are directly shipped from the farmers. We listen to the producers directly, see the fields and the condition of the vegetables, and create dishes that make today's vegetables taste the best. With over 15 types of side dishes, each one is a masterpiece filled with the head chef's ideas. We also offer other Miyako vegetable dishes such as soups, steamed vegetables, rice, curry, and desserts.
At the salad bar named 'Field Bar', there are no 'pre-cooked salads'. The Field Bar is filled with fresh sticks and slices of seasonal vegetables, so feel free to harvest your favorite veggies! Each vegetable is accompanied by the name of the producing farm, and the passionate thoughts of the producers are introduced on panels. Depending on the season, you may find rare vegetables such as the 'Kinbijin Carrot', which has a unique softness without any unpleasant odor, the 'Black Daikon' with its striking black skin and punchy spiciness, and the 'Ayameyuki' turnip, known for its pear-like sweetness. Of course, all vegetables are produced in Kyoto! Additionally, we intentionally display the same vegetables from different producers side by side. The taste changes with the producer, so be sure to compare them. You might just find a farmer that suits your taste!
