Yui in Oki Island Town is the only and northernmost hassaku cultivation area in Japan. The unique sweet and sour flavor of hassaku is perfect for a refreshing sour drink.
Originally discovered by chance in a garden of a private house in Kawachi Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, this variety is cultivated in the warm regions on the Pacific side. At first glance, it looks like a grapefruit, but it has less bitterness and a refreshing sweetness. Excellent with seafood.
