A baked confectionery wrapped in pie crust with red bean paste kneaded with crushed walnuts. The 'Bondia', known for its buttery aroma, crunchy texture of walnuts, and rich flavor that is not too sweet, was created in 1978 to commemorate the sister city relationship between the city of Aviero in Portugal and Oita. 'Bondia' means 'good morning' or 'have a nice day' in Portuguese.
