A baked confectionery wrapped in pie crust with red bean paste kneaded with crushed walnuts. The 'Bondia', characterized by the fragrant flavor of butter, the texture of walnuts, and a rich taste that is not too sweet, was created in 1978 to commemorate the sister city relationship between the city of Aveiro in Portugal and Oita. 'Bondia' is a Portuguese word that means 'good morning' or 'have a nice day'.
