I enjoyed lunch at an Italian restaurant near the bus terminal in Monbetsu. The salad plate that was brought out first was colorful, filled with local vegetables and a generous portion of quiche, which was exciting. The homemade focaccia was fluffy and aromatic, making it hard to stop eating. The spaghetti had the perfect texture, and the sauce clung well to it, making it delicious until the very end. The oven-baked white fish had a pleasant herbal aroma, and the combination with potatoes and tomatoes was excellent. The sparkling wine recommended by the sommelier was light and refreshing, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely time.

This shop is located on Hamanasu Street, and when you go up the stairs, you reach the entrance on the second floor. Inside, there is a wooden counter, a raised seating area, and even private rooms, making it a comfortable place to spend time whether alone or in a group. The pleasant atmosphere that has been cherished for a long time makes it easy to understand why there are many regular customers. The tempura is lightly coated and fried to a crisp, and everything from shrimp, sea bass, squid, pumpkin, eggplant, to shungiku (chrysanthemum leaves) was delicious. The sashimi from the lightly drunk set and the daily small plates are also substantial and pair well with alcohol. In addition to soba, set meals, and rice bowls, dishes like pork chop and omelet rice are also appealing, offering a wide range of enjoyment.
