I had to go to Ashikaga and a friend recommended this restaurant to me, so I went there. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and the food was very tasty. Not only the kamameshi, but also the chicken katsu-don (pork cutlet served on top of rice) looked delicious, so I would like to try it again if I have the chance.

Our reservation was for 6:00 p.m., but we arrived early, so we told the restaurant staff about the situation, and they gladly let us in. My father had always wanted to eat Toritsune's eel. We were very satisfied that his wish came true. The meat was plump and the sauce was exquisitely sweet. It was a perfect match for the eel.
