Maru Sankaku Shikaku

At Maru Sankaku Shikaku, a monthly changing set called 'Yokai Ichiyo' is offered. The set includes 8 types of items such as scones, sandwiches, and baked goods, all handmade. The baked goods are prepared by the owner's aunt, who is a pastry chef trained at the French culinary school 'Le Cordon Bleu.' The tea is carefully selected and brewed by the owner, who holds a tea coordinator qualification.

The interior is a renovated sukiya-style house that was once home to a Japanese painter, exuding a calm Japanese atmosphere. A space is available to spend a leisurely time while overlooking a Japanese garden. It operates on a completely reservation-only basis, accommodating one group at a time, allowing for an enjoyable tea time in a quiet environment.

Maru Sankaku Shikaku is an afternoon tea salon that opened in 2017. The shop's name is derived from the works of the Edo period monk and painter, Sengai Gibon. The owner became a monk at the age of 23 and obtained a tea coordinator qualification after studying at a tea class. Together with her mother and aunt, she offers handmade sweets and tea in a quiet environment in the satoyama. The impetus for opening the shop came from local people's requests for 'please open a shop,' and she started operations with the support of the community.
