Classic Lamprais 1929 Revival Edition - There are likely many who feel their heart race just hearing the name. Once, in 1929, in colonial Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), it was a feast served only on special occasions to the Burgher community. That is 'Lamprais'. Short-grain rice is cooked in stock infused with spices and the flavors of meat, accompanied by fragrant curries of three types of meat, sweet and sour eggplant pahi, fried frikkadel, gentle vegetable side dishes, and the essential seeni sambol... Each side dish has a level of perfection that stands on its own, but when everything is wrapped in banana leaves and slowly baked in the oven, all the aromas and flavors come together to create a unique harmony. This dish, served when families gathered on Sundays in Ceylon to welcome special guests, is truly a 'festive plate'. However, over time, its original style has gradually faded away. Now, it has become a 'phantom dish' rarely encountered even in authentic Sri Lanka, buried in history. We have returned to the original recipe from 1929 and recreated it in modern Tokyo as 'Classic Lamprais 1929 Revival Edition'. The ingredients include spices directly sourced from Sri Lanka and organic vegetables grown domestically. The cooking method is as faithful to tradition as possible, while also being crafted for the enjoyment of Japanese customers. The moment you unwrap it, the aroma of spices rises, the depth brought by the banana leaves, and the complex and rich flavors that unfold when you take a bite - it feels like a time slip to a dining table from a century ago. Here, a 'moment of eating history' unfolds before you. Classic Lamprais 1929 Revival Edition. This is not just a meal, but a 'story-filled dish' that can only be experienced in Japan. Please savor this special plate and feel the breath of a forgotten era.
