We have several types of Awamori available at the counter. Each is 660 yen and may vary depending on stock availability, so please check in-store. Awamori is delicious when mixed with water, soda, sanpin tea, shikwasa, served on the rocks, straight, or with hot water. Please let us know your preferred way of drinking! Awamori is a traditional distilled spirit from Okinawa with a history of about 600 years. It is classified as 'shochu,' but there are significant differences from authentic shochu. The ingredients used are Thai rice and black koji mold. Additionally, there are differences in the brewing process. It is made using atmospheric distillation, which brings out more of the ingredients' individuality, allowing for aging to enhance the flavor. Those aged for over three years are called 'koshu' and are greatly related to the depth of flavor. The richness of flavor that can only be felt in koshu is exceptional. Koshu is truly a 'treasure of Okinawa.' The freshness of new sake and the depth created by aging. To experience the differences, you must compare them side by side.
