I visited Yukilgwan at Sungshin Women's University Station while looking for a meat restaurant, and overall it was a satisfying meal. First of all, as soon as you enter the place, the clean and organized atmosphere catches your eye. It has a private feel beyond just a meat restaurant, and the two-star beef and charcoal grilling enhance the flavor of the meat, making it feel more comfortable. The Korean beef I ordered was much more tender and savory than I expected. The marbling was just right, so it wasn't greasy, yet the juiciness was well-preserved, and the texture that melted in my mouth was impressive. Especially, there was a variety of drinks (wine, whiskey) that created a unique atmosphere not felt in Seongbuk District. Additionally, the staff grilled the meat for us, flipping it at the right timing and cutting it into bite-sized pieces, which made it easy to enjoy. Not having to worry about grilling the meat was a surprisingly big advantage. The basic side dishes (seasoned crab, japchae) were not overly stimulating and paired well with the meat. They were served with just the essentials, which made it feel even cleaner, and the overall flow of the meal was easygoing. The service was generally decent and stable. Rather than being overly friendly, the staff had a style of taking care of the necessary parts well, making it comfortable to dine, and even though they were busy, they maintained the basics well. Overall, it feels like a place where 'the taste of the meat is definitely good, maybe because it's two-star.' The lack of flashy elements and events was impressive, and since the basic taste and atmosphere are good, I think I will return when I want to enjoy Korean beef comfortably. It would also be a pretty good choice for gatherings with friends or family meals.
