【Kanagawa Bashamichi】 Since opening in December 2021, this popular sushi place has seen a surge in both quality and popularity, making it increasingly difficult to secure a reservation. This time, I kept my alcohol consumption to a minimum as I was recovering from an illness. ◇ Appetizers ・Pickles, Harihari-zuke ・Sashimi (Bonito) ・Shira-uo Shira-uo, also known as the fish that heralds spring, has a slippery texture. ・Sea cucumber ・Firefly squid ・Chawanmushi with pureed new onions ・Mehikari Mehikari, a fish from Iwaki City in Fukushima Prefecture, is named for its glowing blue eyes and was juicy and delicious. ・Swordfish Compared to Mehikari, it offers a fluffy texture. ・Cod roe ・Octopus ・Octopus tentacles ・Ankimo with Nara-zuke As always, this dish makes you crave alcohol. ・Egg ・Fruits ◇ Nigiri ・Chutoro ・Tai (Sea bream) ・Grilled Sawara ・Sayori ・Hokkigai ・Kasugo ・Kinmedai (Golden eye snapper) ・Sumi-ika (Cuttlefish) ・Kohada (Gizzard shad) ・Uni (Sea urchin) ・Otoro ・Anago (Conger eel) belly ・Negitoro hand roll ◇ Drinks ・Green tea highball Personally, I found both the appetizers and nigiri to be more palatable than last time, and they were extremely delicious. [Kanagawa Bashamichi] The cost-performance sushi in Kanagawa has become increasingly difficult to reserve. I returned to the counter seat for the first time since last April. ◇ Appetizers ・Sashimi (Bonito, Tuna) ・Sea cucumber ・Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) ・Cream cheese, cod roe ・Swordfish ・Tsubugai (whelk) ・Stuffed squid ・Shirako (cod milt) ・Pickles, Harihari-zuke ・Ankimo (monkfish liver) in Nara-zuke (pickled) ・Tamago (egg) ・Melon ◇ Sushi ・Chutoro (medium fatty tuna) ・Madai (sea bream) ・Buri (yellowtail) ・Shimesaba (marinated mackerel) ・Aburi Sawara (seared Spanish mackerel) ・Hokkigai (surf clam) ・Kohada (gizzard shad) ・Akami-zuke (marinated lean tuna) ・Otoro (fatty tuna) ・Uni (sea urchin) ・Anago (conger eel) nigiri ・Negitoro hand roll (chopped tuna with green onion) ◇ Drinks ・Draft beer ・Yamagata Masamune Unfortunately, the daily selection was out, so I tried sake for the first time. This time, especially the appetizers had a strong flavor that felt very much like drinking sake, and although I got a bit tired of the saltiness, the cost-performance of 13,200 yen, even with a slight price increase for the course, is still wonderful. The gentle smile and atmosphere of the chef are also one of the reasons for its popularity.

Bashamichi, Kanagawa With a cost of 10,000 yen for a course, this sushi restaurant is difficult to reserve. It was a beautiful spring day, so we took a walk from Kanagawa Minatomirai and headed there. The menu is as follows. Bonito Oysters Steamed egg custard Tachi fish Skewers of firefly squid Cream cheese Octopus Fruits Fruits Nigiri Miyagi Shiogama Nakatoro Sailfish squid Sea bream Sardine Sardines Seared Albacore Sea Urchin Conger eel Negitoro Temaki It was a little over 13,000 yen including sake. It was too good. If you can enjoy this taste at this price, I can understand why you would want to go back.
