This is a robata restaurant located in a 150-year-old Gassho-zukuri farmhouse in Hida. The restaurant offers five courses that include a Hoto nabe hot pot and a set of dishes in which you grill rainbow trout, duck, Koshu beef, and vegetable skewers over a charcoal fire in the sunken hearth. The hot hoto nabe based on white miso paste is hearty and exceptional. We hope you will enjoy the local cuisine of Yamanashi while feeling the heat of the charcoal fire on your skin.

On that day, due to the sudden heavy snowfall, we arrived earlier than the originally scheduled dining time at the Mountain Lodge. The Mountain Lodge was still very willing to accommodate our early dining. The ingredients were very fresh and delicious, and since none of us had tried robatayaki before, this was a very special dining experience. It was a bit unfortunate that there was some confusion between the reservation and the on-site ordering. I highly recommend ordering some set meals along with some individual dishes, otherwise, you will really be stuffed. I hope to visit again next time!

No.1 in the Kawaguchiko area is no joke! There are many restaurants around Kawaguchiko that cater to tourists, but of course they cater to tourists, But the prices are local! It's very cost-effective! I thought that 2,000 yen for a set meal, including hoto for rice, was not that much. I thought it would be nothing, but the volume was so large that I couldn't finish it myself.... And it was delicious! It's the best! The interior of the restaurant is stylish with a sunken hearth!
