When you sit at the counter, the cheerful owner casually strikes up a conversation, and you can relax right away. The grilled mackerel has a crispy skin and a fragrant aroma, and I was impressed by the level of heat that can't be achieved at home. The tempura of chikuwa is freshly fried with a crunchy batter, and the flavor of the fish is tightly sealed within. The seafood bowl with yellowtail and sweet shrimp is thick, and the freshness is evident from the first bite. The hot chawanmushi, seasonal small dishes, and miso soup are all carefully prepared, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. Including the yokan and coffee that come out after the meal, I was filled with satisfaction from start to finish.
