Tonton Tonkatsu

We carefully select domestic meat and offer tender and juicy tonkatsu. The crispy texture is made with our own recipe of bread crumbs. The homemade sauce is flavored with kneaded sesame and fruit chutney, and fried in health-conscious canola oil for a crispy, non-sticky finish. Pu'er tea is also offered after the meal to aid digestion.

Located in the conveniently accessible Kobe Harbor Land, the restaurant offers a spacious and relaxing dining experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes such as miso katsu (pork cutlet) and kushikatsu (skewered pork cutlet) in a modern Japanese interior. While the exterior of the restaurant looks like an ordinary tonkatsu restaurant, the interior has the atmosphere of an old Chinese restaurant, providing a unique space.

Located near the Anpanman Museum, the restaurant is ideal for families and popular with children. The restaurant also offers hearty set menus, which are popular among middle and high school students who are in the midst of eating.

The founder, Seiichi Higashinaka, was born in Wakayama, moved to Osaka to learn baking at "Tokyo Kimuraya", and returned to his hometown to open a bakery. He then moved to Sannomiya, Kobe, in search of a bigger business, and in 1927, he started manufacturing and selling bread and western-style confections as "Tokyo Kimuraya" as well as operating a coffee shop.
