[Tokojima] The other day at Tokojima. One of our few restaurants that can be called a big hit these days. The most surprising thing was the round pork cutlet. It was so plump and chewy that you could almost pop it. The crispiness of the grill is also really good. I've never seen a hearty one in its unopened state at any other restaurant. It's a great skewer, packed with good work in preparation! The Scamorza cheese and red wine recommended by Moto-san is also a rare combination that even I, who don't drink that much wine, could get hooked on. The aroma of the cheese and red wine was so mellow in my mouth. There was also a large selection of sake, some of which I had never heard of. I still have a lot to learn. All in all, we were very satisfied with the cost performance! Thank you, Moto-san, for introducing us to this wonderful restaurant!

[The other day, I had a special chicken hot pot thanks to Moto-san! The richness of the soup was already apparent just by looking at it, and I can't tell you how many times I wished I could put it in a water bottle and take it home with me. As one would expect from Mr. Tokoshima, every part of the chicken, including the chicken wings and the chicken breast, was delicious! Then, after enjoying the magnificent shiitake mushrooms and qinggengcai all the way through, I added some handa somen noodles and had chicken soup with noodles. I could eat this for the rest of my life. It's so good, 0kcal! No doubt. LOL! Sake and chicken soup, this is an endless loop... After that, the real work, the skewers. This time, I chose the round hearts, the sode, and the blood liver. We also had French duck and a half-boiled quail's egg. The last video, I couldn't crack the egg properly... Moto-san brought in a Spanish red wine, FLORECITA, to go with the skewers. I was brainwashed by his whisper, "It's good to be bio-bio," and I'm kind of addicted to it. Is this how Moto-san is getting addicted? I hope to visit again next year!

Tokonoshima Re-posting including photos I didn't post from a recent visit. From the sashimi to the egg rice at the end of the meal, the taste is mouthwatering. The smoked albacore (4th picture) is a rare and precious taste. The smoked sasami is also a must-try for sake drinkers.

Tokojima @ Sangenjaya Egg on rice, the whites are meringue. The owner is a sommelier and is a great place to pair insanely delicious yakitori with wine. It is a hole in the wall where it is still easy to get a reservation. (However, it is almost impossible to get a reservation on the same day.) Also, the smoked white meat is a must. The kind you can drink many times over...
