As I climbed the wooden stairs, I was excited to find a calm, well-lit interior. While drinking draft beer at the counter, I quickly blended into the space where gentle jazz was playing. When the live performance began, the clear voice of the female vocalist intertwined with the live piano and saxophone, making my heart race. The songs ranged widely from standards to bossa nova and nostalgic Japanese music, all of which were pleasant to the ears. The staff and other customers engaged in conversation, making it very comfortable. The highball I drank while surrounded by jazz was the best, and before I knew it, I was lost in enjoyment, forgetting the time.
