Located inside the Higo Yoka Mon Market at Kumamoto Station, this shop is filled with the flavors of Kumamoto. There is a wide variety of takana (pickled mustard greens), including those with sesame and those with chirimen (dried baby sardines), making it fun to choose. Just mixing it quickly with rice creates takana rice, which has a pleasant aroma and encourages eating. There are also rare delicacies like smoked horse sashimi and Aso maki daikon, allowing you to enjoy the Kumamoto atmosphere at home. The pickled melon has a crunchy texture, making it a perfect side dish. With a lineup that is sure to please as souvenirs, I feel glad I stopped by.
