Okayama's most famous manjuu When I went to Okayama to visit a friend... I was given this Ote Manju as a souvenir. It is a famous confectionery of Okayama City in Bizen and is famous as a souvenir confectionery. It's been loved for over 170 years! The thin skin wrapped around the anko (red bean paste) is steamed to make it very moist! The red bean paste is peeled off in some places because it is wrapped in a very small piece of paper. I like the design of it! It smells good in your mouth. In short, if you think of it as a sake manju, you can imagine! Each one is individually packaged, so it's easy to share with others. It has been familiar to Okayama citizens for a long time, so it is also used for Kohaku Manju (red and white manju)! At the souvenir shop, those who buy kibidango are divided into those from other areas and those who buy ote-manju are divided into locals. So my friend who married in Osaka is now an Okayama native too! Ah, but my friend lives in Kurashiki! But my friend lives in Kurashiki! Fujito manju, which looks almost exactly the same, is famous in Kurashiki and Bingo area! I got one the other day when I was back home, so I will review it again!
